ENVIRONMENT

By reviving the arcade design of building, an extendable balcony and shading were designed to inherit the wisdom of hong kong architecture design. The arcade could avoid indoor area from dircet sunlight adn heating, hence, enhance natural ventilation.

 

SOCIAL

The open design of balcony, window and shops allow more direct interaction between everyone in the society. People can see, listen, smell the outside from their flat, or even have conversation horizontally and vertically to the neighbours.

 

SEE HONG KONG DIFFERENTLY

City of hong kong is packed with vertical buildings. Looking out of the window is always a dense view of tall buildings. By adding reflective thin between the double-layered glass, people could see the sky, sun and street of hong kong mash-up with the horizontal view. Creating a new vision of how we look at where we live, re-interpret and discover the beauty of hong kong.
